In his most recent role as Director and Chief Financial Officer of wind energy corporation NuCapital, Inc., Hurdle H. Lea leveraged more than 20 years of executive experience, as well as significant expertise in the financial industry. Together with a team of the world's top wind energy experts, Hurdle H. Lea managed an extensive network of affiliates in the Caribbean and Central and South America from 2008 through 2011.

Prior to leading the founding of NuCapital, Hurdle H. Lea served as co-founder of asset management and investment firm Margate Management, LP, and its corporate general partner, Tamien Holdings, Inc. Margate Management brought together a number of private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, and commodity trading professionals under a single company to offer multi-strategy asset management alternatives under the Economic Development Program offered by the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Hurdle H. Lea comes to the industry with extensive financial expertise. He held his first professional position as a floor runner on the New York Commodities Exchange, and in 1980 became the youngest person ever elected to full membership in the New York Cotton Exchange. In 1985, he returned to school to earn a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of North Carolina Asheville, where he majored in business and financial management with a specialization in finance and banking. He held his first executive position in 1990, when he became the founding Chief Financial Officer of Pointer Management Company, a hedge fund and fund of funds (FOF) manager. He has served in several top leadership positions since that time.

Hurdle H. Lea holds a number of professional affiliations, including membership in the Brazil Chamber of Commerce, the St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce, and the Latin American Wind Energy Association. He continues to reside in the Caribbean, making his home in Willemstad, Curaçao.
